Actor Salman Khan will return to host the latest season of reality television show Bigg Boss, on Sunday. Ahead of the 17th season’s premiere, pictures of the newly-designed house were shared online. These pictures take fans on a tour of the new house, and tease what they can expect this season.
The theme of the season is ‘Dil, Dimag aur Dum’. The house has once again been designed by Omung Kumar and Vanita Garud, who’ve given an element of fantasy and drama to each corner.

The details of house’s architecture represent the theme of the show. For instance, the doorway from the garden area has winged horse sculpture and a coral reef-like archway. The kitchen has a large wooden table, barstools, wooden worktops and vintage cutlery.
The living area has been converted into a Eurpoean-style street, while the bedrooms represent different sides of the continent. The confession room, which is where the drama happens, is dimly-lit, with bookshelves in the background. For the first time, a balcony and staircase have been added to the room.
Omung Kumar and production designer Vanita Garud jointly said in a statement, “The iconic house of Bigg Boss has turned into a majestical world where nothing is what it seems. This theme is special for us because it evokes thoughts of magic, escapism, and mystical creatures.”
They added, “The inspiration for a place like this allows for imagination and creativity to run wild. This house is reminiscent of a European ambience with masonry structures, vaulted ceilings, opulent arches, decorative flourishes on its columns, and precise symmetry. The idea was to transport the housemates to a far-off land of glitz, fun and enchantment. We hope the contestants immerse themselves in the world of dreams and wonder as they team up with the supreme overlord of this fantasyland.”
While the official list of contestants hasn’t been announced yet, sources confirmed to indianexpress.com that names such as Jigna Vora, Munawar Faruqui and Mannara, Armaan Malik, Ankita Lokhande with husband Vicky Jain, will participate this season.
