Shilpa Shetty thought wife Sunita shot Govinda in the leg; actor reconciles with nephew Krushna on The Great Indian Kapil Show

In the latest promo of The Great Indian Kapil Show, fans witnessed a heartwarming moment when Govinda and his nephew Krushna Abhishek reunited, ending their long time feud.

The upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show will see Krushna Abhishek and his uncle Govinda ending their long-standing feud on Kapil Sharma’s show, after the former had refused to be part of an episode of the show where his uncle Govinda and aunt Sunita Ahuja were expected as guests, a few years ago. However, it looks like they have patched things up as the latest promo episode shows them exchanging a warm hug.

The promo video of the next episode shows Govinda, Chunky Panday and Shakti Kapoor as guests on the show. With Govinda looking healthy and fit, making his first TV appearance after his recent gunshot incident, the clip showcases many hearty moments. Govinda revealed that when Shilpa Shetty came to visit him in the hospital, she asked the whereabouts of wife Sunita. When Govinda informed her that Sunita had gone to the temple at the time, her response was: “To goli kissne maari (Who shot you)?”. He teases Shakti about his past affairs and even shakes a leg with his nephew Krushna, who is dressed like a character from Ali Baba and 40 Thieves. Towards the end of the video, the mama-bhatija exchange a warm hug. Krushna’s sister Arti Singh becomes emotional as she witnesses the heartfelt moment as a member in the audience. Krushna says, ‘We’ve met after a long time. Won’t let you go now.’ The video gives a sneak peek into the funny moment between Govinda, Shakti and Chunky Pandey.

While talking to Hindustan Times, Krushna called the reunion “one of my best experiences after such a long time”. He said that he stands by his words on stage that ‘7 saal ka vanvas’ has ended with their reconcilation.

He further added that their feud ended with Govinda’s injury when Kashmera (Krushna’s wife) was the first person from the family to go and visit him in the hospital. He was very nice to her, and she spoke to him for a while in the ICU. After that, Krushna realised that things are going to get better now.

When asked if things were good with his mami, Sunita Ahuja, he answered that while he has met Tina (Govinda’s daughter), he is yet to speak to Sunita. However, he believes she is fine already otherwise Govinda wouldn’t have come on the show, as Sunita handles his work commitments and if she’d have had a problem, she’d have said no to the show or to him.

What was the feud

Krushna Abhishek and Govinda had a public spat, which started in 2016. The feud started when Krushna made a joke on his show, which Govinda found disrespectful. Things escalated after a tweet by Krushna’s wife, Kashmera Shah, was perceived as targeting Govinda, causing further tension. In the past few years, both parties expressed their anger and disappointment through the media. However, in 2024, a reconciliation occurred when Govinda attended his niece Arti Singh’s wedding, putting an end to their seven-year rift.
