It’s only Shehnaaz Gill who can crack a joke in front of ace comedian Kapil Sharma, and leave him impressed. Kapil will be joining Shehnaaz on Desi Vibes with Shehnaaz Gill to promote his upcoming film Zwigato. While the full episode of the chat show will premiere tomorrow, Shehnaaz shared a teaser of their fun times on Monday.
In the video, the two were presumably talking about mimicking or copying someone, as Shehnaaz said, “Nakal karne mein bhi akal lagti hai, jo sabke paas nahi hai (You need smartness to copy someone too).” Referring to the word akal, which means intelligence, she added, “Mera Dolphin se bhi zyada hai (I am sharper than a dolphin). As a confused Kapil asked her if dolphins are really intelligent, she replied, “Haan, jaanwaron mein uska dimag sabse zyada hota hai, par mera usse zyada hai (They are the smartest among animals, but I am smarter than them).”
Realising how she is comparing herself to the mammal, Kapil let out a loud laugh, before Shehnaaz joined him. As she almost fell off her chair, she cried out, “Haye Rabba.”
“@kapilsharma tussi wadiya ho! Yeh toh sirf trailer hai, watch full episode tomorrow on my YouTube channel,” Shehnaaz captioned the video.
In his appearance on Aajtak’s Seedhi Baat, Kapil Sharma revealed that he once invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to appear as a guest on his comedy chat show, The Kapil Sharma Show. He recalled their meeting, and said that he didn’t receive a firm ‘no’ from the PM. Kapil added that he hopes that the PM reconsiders, and one day makes an appearance on the show.
Kapil said, “Main personally jab mila Prime Minister Modi sahab se, toh maine unko bola bhi ki ‘sir kabhi humare show pe bhi aa jaiye aap’. Unhone mujhe mana bhi nahi kiya, unhone kaha, ‘abhi toh mere virodhi bohot comedy kar rahe hai…’ aise kuch bola. ‘Aayenge kabhi’. To unhone na nahi kiya. Wo aayenge toh humara saubhagya hai (When I had personally met Prime Minister Modi, I had told him, ‘Sir come on our show.’ He didn’t say no, he said something like, ‘Right now my opposition is doing a lot of comedy.’ Something like this he said, but he didn’t say ‘no’ either. We would be honoured to have him on the show).”
Kapil Sharma further said he would like the world to see the PM’s lighter side. He said, “Main chahunga ki … lighter side logo ke saamne aaye. Toh log bhi dekhe mazedar, hassi mazak waali baatein (I would like people to see the fun, lighter side of him).”
