In the recent episode of Shark Tank India season 3, the judges or sharks were left impressed with the revenue and business model of Raja-Rani Coaching. After thoroughly going through their packages, services and profits, the judges said they were ‘mind-blown’ and richly congratulated the pitchers on their business. However, when it came time to bite, most of them refused to invest and asked the pitchers to not get investors at all. Finally, towards the end, the founders refused to accept the deal offered to them by Anupam Mittal and Amit Jain.
The couple, founders of India’s ‘fastest-growing tailoring academy’, pitched their business and said that academy, Raja-Rani Coaching, aims to improve tailoring skills in India. They aim to bridge the gap between design and tailoring skills, advancing India’s expertise in this field. Its impressive profitability attracted attention, with two sharks making matching offers. The founders then gave them a demo of their class, again leaving everyone surprised.
The pitchers left the Sharks impressed when they explained to them their revenue model. However, Aman said, “Yeh toh qala hai, zaruri nahi yeh sabko aye. Investment ke chakkar mai mat aao. Investment ka faida nahi hai (This is art, not necessary everybody should know this. Don’t get involved in the investment circle. There is no benefit in investment).”
Vineeta said, “I am mind blown. Mohit and Priya, fantastic business. Bohot maza aya aapse mil ke.” However, she refused to invest in the company and said that she is out. Namita Thapar also agreed and followed suit.
This season, six more sharks have joined the panel. The judges this season include Azhar Iqubal, Deepinder Goyal, Ritesh Agarwal, Radhika Gupta, Varun Dua, Ronnie Screwvala, Amit, Aman, Namita, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta, and Anupam.
