Just a week away from its grand finale, Bigg Boss 19 witnessed an unfortunate turn of events. During the Ticket to Finale task, actress Ashnoor Kaur hit spiritual influencer Tanya Mittal with a wooden plank. Although the incident did not escalate among the contestants inside the house, it caught the attention of host Salman Khan, who announced Ashnoor’s eviction.

Salman addressed the situation in detail and even played the visuals of the incident. With contestants agreeing that Ashnoor intended to harm Tanya, Salman stated that the Suman Indori actress had violated a major rule and could not be allowed to continue on the show. The host said, “Last week, I thought that when I came here this time, we would have so much fun, since it’s the last weekend before the finale. Then I was watching the Bigg Boss episode, and what did I see? Someone did something in front of everyone. Tanya did get hurt. It was very clear that you could protect the one you wanted during the task, and you could make someone you wanted lose without harming them physically. Tanya didn’t want Ashnoor to win the Ticket to the finale. What was so shocking about this? They don’t like each other, and even if they don’t at this stage, everybody wants to win.”

Salman later asked Ashnoor, “Did Tanya do anything wrong from her end?” Ashnoor responded, “No, sir, my intention was not to hurt her.” Salman added, “The minute Tanya threw the water from the bowl, Ashnoor lost the task, and her aggression was of this level that she purposely threw the wooden plank towards Tanya in full force. It was very obvious that it was intentional and in anger.” Ashnoor said, “Sir, I was angry, but there was never an intention to harm Tanya with the plank. My shoulders had become sore, so I was throwing the plank down. I didn’t want to hurt Tanya.”

Following this, Salman Khan played the visuals of the incident and asked the other housemates for their opinion. After they all agreed that Ashnoor’s actions were intentional, Salman said, “When Tanya came to you, Ashnoor, how did you behave with her? When your father came and told you a few things, his intention was never this. He wanted you to stand up to it. Ever since Ekta Kapoor came here, your aggression and hatred towards Tanya have increased. Let me tell you, after your father left, your attitude and anger just increased. We initially praised you, but what is this side of you? You misinterpreted everything your father told you.”

Salman continued, “Pranit saved you from getting evicted earlier, else you would have been out long back. Don’t you realize that you came so far because of him. After this incident, you have no remorse; you were very convinced and didn’t realize that there were cameras all around, and we will raise this issue. Even Malti and Farrhana fought, but verbally. But Ashnoor, you did this, and it was not impulsive. Even if it was unintentional, you could have said sorry. You didn’t do anything like that; rather, you told her why you were standing behind me. She was doing the task, and you knew she was standing there. You were well aware that she was at a touching distance from you. What do you have to say? How do we handle this situation one week before the finale? ”

“You are not sorry. Had you been, you would have apologized to Tanya by now. You didn’t do that. Instead, you threw a tantrum even when Gaurav tried talking to you. You did hit Tanya. You said you will see this on the weekend. You said during tasks like this, you see people’s true selves. Is this your reality? You know the rules of Bigg Boss. Ashnoor, you have already explained what happened to everyone in the house. We heard those and hoped that you understood that you were going wrong. But no, you kept on getting more aggressive and arrogant. That ship has sailed a long time ago. I am shocked that no one in the house took a stand on this. You all find it small? Tanya could have broken her jaw, Ashnoor. There was no hesitation from your end. You were very cold. In this rage, you have beaten her and not apologized. So, now we have some rules in this house, and unfortunately, we have to follow them,” Salman added.

Asking Ashnoor to leave the house, Salman further said, “Without instigation, raising your hand on someone or trying to hurt them is not cool in the Bigg Boss house. This is ‘intention to harm’, sadly, action will be taken on this. It’s difficult because there is just one week left to the finale, and something like this happened. If we don’t act on this, it will be unfair to all the contestants against whom we took some decisions. Ashnoor, you broke one of the most important rules in the house. So we are sorry to say this, but you cannot proceed with the show. Your journey is stopped here; you get banished from this house.”

“Had you gracefully accepted this defeat, this wouldn’t have happened. Luckily, she got a little away; otherwise, it would have been a very damaging hit, and Tanya would have been in the hospital today. I hope you take this positively. We want you to do so, but as per our rules, we cannot let you continue. I am feeling really bad. Everyone feels the same way, in the house, and if anyone doesn’t agree, then I feel you should pack your bags and leave with Ashnoor. When you come outside, you will see how this blew up outside. Ashnoor, you are banished from this house, and anyone supporting Ashnoor is more than welcome to leave,” Salman repeated, instructing the actress to come out of the Bigg Boss 19 house through the tunnel.

While Ashnoor Kaur got emotional, apologized, and even broke down, the makers stood by their decision, and sadly, Ashnoor’s journey on the show ended. After Ashnoor left, Salman Khan told the other contestants, “It’s sad, but this call had to be taken. I feel bad about it. Sometimes I feel I should leave this to Farah Khan or Rohit Shetty. I feel really bad that I had to announce this decision. In every season, I keep telling the contestants that I don’t understand what kind of image this show has made. The reputation it has earned is that unless you fight or abuse, you won’t survive here. In reality, all those who won the show have never behaved like this. The dignified one has gotten the maximum votes. People are not stupid. Staying in this house for three months with strangers, no matter what an actor you are, your personality eventually comes out. When Ashnoor came on the show, Abhishek was protecting her, then Pranit did so, then her father came, and everything he told her, she took it differently.”

Salman concluded, “I was told to address this issue towards the end, but it’s best to come straight to the point; otherwise, we are also playing a game then for TRP. It was important to tackle this fight first, but I was told that the TV audience would run away. But why would they, because they are fully invested and seeing the show 24/7 on OTT. It’s not cool. When the team told me to tackle it in the end, I said if the issue was so important, it should be dealt with first.”
