Rahul Vaidya on Disha Parmar’s pregnancy: ‘It was unexpected, yet to hit me completely’

Singer Rahul Vaidya opened up about his wife and actor Disha Parmar's pregnancy, calling it 'God's blessing'. In an interview, he also revealed how Disha broke the news to him.

Popular couple Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar are over the moon as they are expecting their first child. The duo took to social media last week to announce their pregnancy. Calling it ‘unexpected news’ Rahul, in an interview, shared how he has always dreamt of being a father.

“I have always dreamt of being a father and giving a lot of love to my child. When I heard the news, it was unexpected, but I was extremely happy, and I am all set to become a papa soon. It is yet to hit me completely,” Rahul told ETimes. However, he added that with so many good wishes pouring in for the would-be parents, the realisation of this new phase is starting to ‘sink in.’

The Bigg Boss 14 finalist further shared that their baby is ‘God’s blessing’ and they are looking forward to experiencing this new chapter of their lives. Rahul said that he was in Goa for work, and as soon as he came back to Mumbai, his wife broke the news to him, leaving him elated.

On the work front, Disha Parmar is set to be back with Nakuul Mehta in Bade Acche Lagte Hain 3. Speaking about working through her pregnancy, Disha, in the same interview said that it suited her situation given the show is a finite one.

As readers would know, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar recently announced their pregnancy on Instagram. She shared a picture of herself flaunting her baby bump, as she stood beside her husband, who held a board that read, “Mummy and Daddy.” The couple twinned in black. Disha also shared videos from her sonography. “Hello from Mummy Daddy to be & the BABY!!,” the caption read.

Rahul had proposed to Disha on Bigg Boss 14, as her birthday surprise. Disha even sent him a reply and visited him on the show on Valentine’s Day. The couple had met through common friends and soon struck a close bond. Disha also starred in the music video of Rahul Vaidya’s single “Yaad Teri” in 2019.
