Sangram Singh and Payal Rohatgi’s love blossomed on the reality show Survivors India in 2012. The two bonded on the show and according to Payal, Sangram expressed his love to her on the show itself after which they started dating each other and eventually moved in together. After dating each other for over a decade, they tied the knot in 2022. However, now it seems like their marriage is in trouble with reports of Sangram Singh having an affair with actor Nikita Rawal. Amid all the chaos, an Instagram post by Payal has added fuel to the fire.
On Wednesday, Payal shared a picture from their wedding reception with the caption: “Betrayal always comes dressed as loyalty until the mask falls.”
In another post, with another picture from her reception, Payal wrote: “Asked a rich man how he did it & he said ‘ I stopped trying to help everyone’.” Both the captions were accompanied with the hashtags “Ladki hoon lad sakti hoon.”
She also took to her Instagram Story to share cryptic notes about honouring oneself. One of her Stories read: “Choose what chooses you, honour what honours you and love what loves you back. Honour your worth.”
In another story, Payal shared: “Don’t fear being misunderstood. Fear staying the same just to be accepted.”
Just a week ago, Payal shared another cryptic post that read: “They called you crazy to cover up how damaging they really were. Attacking your sanity is their excuse to dodge accountability. It’s not confusion, it’s control, and every time they label you the problem, they are hiding the truth that they were the one causing the harm.
Around the same time, Payal had shared yet another picture from her wedding which she captioned: “Every wound she ever survived became another jewel in her crown.” The post had also gained the attention of her husband, who dropped hearts in the comment section.
Speaking to NDTV, Sangram shared: “There is no talk of divorce between us. We have been together for 14 years and will always be. I keep all my focus on doing good work. I do not pay attention to these talks of divorce, and I will also request her to not believe in such rumours.”
However, in another interview with News18 Showsha, he admitted that all the rumours impact Payal. He said: ““10–12 years ago, such news would affect me. Even a single negative comment would hurt me. But now, I’ve developed a thick skin. We lead public lives, so the idea is to not get affected by what people say. People love reading negative headlines. But Payal ji was affected. She overthinks a lot and then explodes.”
The rumours of Sangram Singh having an affair with actor Nikita Rawal surfaced after netizens noticed constant likes, affectionate comments and emojis left by Sangram on Nikita’s post.
This is not the first time Payal has shared a speculative post or story. About an year ago, the actress had shared a video complaining about Sangram making her stay at people’s house rather than a hotel. The video was widely circulated online. In the video, Payal was also seen crying.

During their anniversary last year, Payal had penned a taunting post for her husband where she accused him of not appreciating her efforts of starting a new business.

I did that as I am not insecure nor having weak society driven mindset.” She added: “It will be nice if you can self analyse my efforts and appreciate it rather than making my efforts seem petty.”
Payal had also spoken about the delay in their marriage on the reality show Lock Upp. There she claimed it is Sangram’s friends who are keeping him from getting married to her. “Sangram is close to his friends, hence he doesn’t want to go against them to marry me”, she said on the show. However, it was on the same show when Sangram proposed to her for marriage.
Clips and screenshots of these statements were often shared on Reddit with people sharing their opinions. Many speculated that she needed medical help.
Payal Rohatgi had also shared on the show Lock Upp that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the past. Previously, in an interview post her wedding, Payal told FreePressJournal that she is short-tempered and once during a fight with Sangram she even broke a plate into two.
She said: “We fight about very trivial things. I like the air conditioner; he doesn’t. Whenever he shaves, he leaves hair in the wash basin. So now I don’t share a bathroom with him.” The couple is yet to react to the rumours.
