Actress Surbhi Chandna, who was seen in shows like Naagin 5 and Ishqbaaz, announced her wedding to long-time boyfriend Karan Sharma in January. Karan and Surbhi met in Mumbai in 2010 and have been together for 13 years now. As per reports, the two lovebirds will be getting married in March 2024 in Jaipur. Though the couple has not officially announced the wedding dates, just a few days back, Surbhi posted a story on Instagram stating how her soon-to-be husband is taking all the stress for the wedding preparations while she chills. However, she has landed in controversy after she was accused of asking for free clothes for her wedding.
A designer named Ayush Kejriwal posted a video on Reddit where he leaked his chats with Surbhi’s team. In the video, Surbhi’s team has asked to source clothes from him on a social media credit basis. While Ayush refused to give the clothes for free, he even called out the actress on social media. Responding to Surbhi’s stylist, Ayush wrote, “No thank you. Why should I give outfits for free for someone’s wedding?! That’s ridiculous.” He further wrote, “If she can afford a lavish wedding in a palace she certainly can pay for her clothes.”

As per the message, Surbhi Chandan’s wedding functions are happening on March 1 and 2. The functions include haldi, mehendi, engagement and sufi night, wedding, and reception. After these messages got leaked many fans were seen condemning this move from the actress. One user wrote, “She thinks she’s a big actress whom brands would be falling over to sponsor.” Another one stated, “While I think it is a 2-way street, as many designers also sponsor for free so that they can get the recognition. In Surbhi’s case, she could have paid when she could afford a lavish destination wedding. The guy could have put it more professionally though, if his concern was to call out the issue. But I liked the last part that he mentioned is so true. They get the outfits for free and someone who wants to replicate that will pay for it.”
