Kapil Sharma hosted the cast of Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming film Bheed including actors Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Ashutosh Rana and Kritika Kamra in the upcoming episode of his show, The Kapil Sharma Show. He shared a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot of the episode where he is seen paying a tribute to the late singer KK.
KK passed away in Kolkata on May 31, 2022, after suffering a cardiac arrest while performing at a concert.
In the video which has been shared by Kapil, he is seen singing the Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein song, Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana, which was sung by KK. As he starts singing, the studio audience joins him in singing the song. Towards the end, the audience cheers for Kapil as he says, “This is a tribute to our loving singer KK.”
Sharing the video, Kapil wrote, “This was not planned, @diamirzaofficial was there in our show and I just started humming the lines of this beautiful song and suddenly all the people started singing this song with me aur woh b bahut sur me, this is the power of good music ❤️ A tribute to our loving #KK 😇🙏 listen n enjoy 🤗 #sachkehrahahaideewana #rehnahaiteredilmein.”
As Kapil shared the video, his fellow comedian Rajiv Thakur commented on it saying, “It was the great moment 😍.” Actor Sharib Hashmi left a few heart emojis in the comments section. A fan of KK wrote, “Thus.. KK always lives in our hearts ❤️🔥 i just don’t wanna accept his absence. Love you.. the most ❤️❤️❤️.”
Bheed revisits the plight of the migrant workers who were stranded on the roads during the coronavirus-induced-nationwide lockdown. The film will hit the theatres on March 24. Meanwhile, Kapil is enjoying the critical acclaim his film Zwigato has received ever since its release in Indian theaters.
