Kapil Sharma made his debut as a vlogger with a new video posted on his YouTube channel on Friday. It showed Kapil taking his fans through an entire shoot day of The Kapil Sharma Show, and also featured Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. At the start of the video, Kapil joked that he has started vlogging because “kharche poore nahi ho rahe (he can’t cover his expenses).”
Kapil introduced viewers to his staff, and it looked like he shares a friendly bond with them. After starting his day at the gym, Kapil reached the set of his show in Film City, and took his fans on a tour of what he described as “a city by itself.” Kapil also took fans to the sets of Bigg Boss, Bigg Boss Malayalam, and a few other daily soaps whose names he did not mention. He also gave a glimpse of the set of the old Comedy Nights with Kapil show, and spoke about the time when the set caught fire and they had to move to the new studio. The fire broke out in 2013, and at the time, Kapil said that it was due to a short-circuit, and shared that the loss was of around Rs 20-22 crore, as per an interview with The Times of India.
Kapil also took his fans backstage, where he introduced them to the rest of the cast as they rehearsed while waiting for Vicky and Sara. Because of the delay in the guests’ arrival, Kapil put up a mini-concert for his in-studio audience.” After the arrival of the actors, who were there to promote Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Kapil started recording the episode.
It was previously announced that Kapil’s show will soon go on hiatus, and the last episode of the current season will air in June. A source told indianexpress.com, “Seasonal breaks have actually worked for the show giving us a chance to stir up things in terms of content and cast. Also, comedy is a tough genre and actors need a break so that monotony doesn’t set in. Everyone can return refreshed and we can experiment with a different format and some new characters.”
“Kapil Sharma also has an international tour lined up and thus the decision to take a break at this time came in. The team, as of now, plans to shoot a bank of episodes so that their fans do not miss them for long. However, the duration of the break hasn’t been decided as of now,” the source added.
