The latest Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar is drawing attention for multiple reasons. While Saturday’s episode featured one of the most intense feedback sessions of the season, Sunday will see Indian women’s cricket stars Jhulan Goswami and Anjum Chopra join host Salman Khan on stage. Their appearance follows the Indian women’s cricket team’s historic World Cup victory earlier this month. On the Bigg Boss stage, Jhulan and Anjum will speak about how this landmark win could shape the future of women’s cricket in the country.
In the latest promo, Salman is seen welcoming Jhulan and Anjum to Bigg Boss. On the stage, Salman recalls, “Smriti and Harmanpreet had promised you that they would win the World Cup.” To this, Jhulan responds, “When they came to me with the trophy, it was the biggest moment of my cricketing career.” Salman then asks what the biggest change after this victory will be. Anjum replies, “When young girls aspire to become the next Jhulan, Harman, or Smriti — that is what will drive the next generation.”
On November 2, the Indian women’s team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, lifted the World Cup for the first time. After the historic win, the team presented the trophy to Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, and Anjum Chopra in recognition of their contributions to women’s cricket. Mithali and Jhulan were present at the match in their roles as commentators. During the ICC Review, Harmanpreet had also said, “The last time, back in 2022, when we returned after the World Cup, all of us were really sad. We knew that it was the last World Cup for Jhulan di and Mithali di. Smriti and I were sitting and talking, and we were sad that we couldn’t deliver it to them. But we had decided that whenever we do it in the future, we will make sure that they will be in the stadium. We really want to capture that moment with them.”
Recently, Salman Khan dismissed rumors about Bigg Boss 19 getting an extension, confirming that only 30 days remain for the show. The grand finale of Bigg Boss 19 is scheduled to take place on December 7.
