Producer Ekta Kapoor and actor Ram Kapoor’s cold war continues to take interesting turns. Days after Ekta took a jibe at Ram’s drastic weight loss, Ram’s wife and actor Gautami Kapoor has now hit back at Ekta in a new video. She’s seen mimicking the Balaji head, in an attempt to get back at her for suggesting that Ram took the Ozempic route to shed extra kilos.
In the video shared on her Instagram handle on Sunday, Gautami is seated in a gym, as she talks to the camera, mimicking Ekta’s video, “Should I do an anti-inflammatory diet? Should I take Mounjaro? Should I take Ozempic, or all of the above? Or should I just zip my mouth? But I think mere liye gym hi kaafi hai (For me, the gym is enough). Kyunki humein bade nahi, chhote hi achhe lagte hain (because we don’t like them big, but small).” Gautami took a jibe at the romantic show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, which was produced by Ekta, and starred Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar.
Gautami wrote in the caption, “Jisse jo pasand ho… use woh karne do (Let people do what they like) … live and let live… at the end, what matters is health, happiness, and peace.” She added the hashtags, #nojudgement #onlygoodvibe #livelifekingsize. After Ram had denied in a video that he has not used Ozempic for weight loss, Ekta had said in her video, ““What do I do? I’ve gained a lot of weight. Should I do an anti-inflammatory diet? Mounjaro? Ozempic? All of the above? Zip my mouth? Ya chhod dun? Hum bade hi acche lagte hain (Or shall I leave it? Because I look good just the way I am)!” She wrote in the caption, “Ozempic ho jaye (Let’s do an Ozempic).”
The public cold war between Ekta Kapoor and Ram Kapoor started when in an interview, the actor claimed that he was forced to do an intimate scene with co-star Sakshi Tanwar on the insistence of producer Ekta Kapoor. Ekta had then clapped back at Ram by writing on social media, “Unprofessional actors giving interviews about my shows should shut up! False information and skewed stories can only last until I talk… but there is dignity in silence.”
Ram and Ekta go back a long way as the former starred in her flagship daily soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasamh Se, Bade Ache Lagte Hain, and Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat. Gautami, who also starred in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, married Ram in 2003. They also starred in Karan Johar’s 2012 hit campus caper Student of the Year.
