Stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui appeared on the dance reality show Dance Deewane and was moved by the performance of two contestants. He was seen in tears and kissing the hands of the contestants’ grandmother, who was sitting in the audience.
The contestants performed on the track “Abhi Mujhme Kahin”, where the younger one is suffering from a heart ailment.
In the promo, Munawar tells the contestant, “Teri naani ke haath choome, to wo hath kaanp rahe the. Par unn kaapte hue haathon mein itni taakat hai na, wo mujhe pata hai kyunko wo tu hai. (When I kissed your grandmother’s hands, they were trembling. But those trembling hands have such strength. I know that because that strength is you.)”
Actors Madhuri Dixit and Suniel Shetty, who are the judges on the dance reality show, were also left in tears after seeing the emotional performance.
After winning the reality show Lock Upp, Munawar Faruqui entered Bigg Boss 17 and emerged as a winner again. In an interview with indianexpress.com, the stand-up comedian shared his feelings after lifting the winner’s trophy.
He said, “The feeling was unreal, the way my journey has been… that moment was such that I could feel the weight of that trophy. This trophy has cost me a lot, but it is worth it. In the end, what was important was not just taking the trophy home, but a lot many things.”
