Days after television actor and Bigg Boss 13 contestant Dalljiet Kaur levelled allegations of infidelity against her estranged husband, Kenya-based entrepreneur Nikhil Patel, the latter retaliated by issuing her a legal notice and an ultimatum demanding that she move her remaining belongings out of his house this month, ETimes reported.

A few days ago, Kaur had shared some cryptic messages on Instagram suggesting that Patel was involved in an extramarital affair. In her Instagram stories, Kaur asked her social media followers, “What’s your thought on extra-marital affairs? Who is to be blamed?… The girl… The husband… The wife.” In another story, she wrote, “You are out on social media with her now every day shamelessly. Your wife and son came back in 10 months of the wedding. The entire family is humiliated. Some dignity for the kids would have been good. At least you should have left your wife a little dignity publicly as I was quiet about a lot of other things too.”

In response to the allegations, Patel told ETimes that he was disturbed to witness how the loopholes in IT laws across the world were being exploited by certain people in their endeavour to attract “cheap media attention”. He also pointed out that the actions of such people “place innocent children and women at risk”. Patel also condemned the posting of pictures and videos of others, especially children, without their consent, calling it illegal and negligent.

The entrepreneur also stated that his team has gotten in touch with the actor, demanding that she collect her remaining belongings from his place in Kenya by the end of this month. If she fails to do so, Patel stated the items would be donated to charity in Kenya, as he has “no obligation to store them for her.”

Patel further emphasised that his legal team has put its foot down in the matter, asserting it would no longer take harassment lying down and would take stern legal action if the actor continued with her “unlawful actions.”

According to News18, rumours of their separation first surfaced in February this year when the actor deleted all their wedding pictures from Instagram and dropped Patel from her name. “I hereby state that Dalljiet and Jaydon (her son) are in India currently for Dalljiet’s dad’s surgery followed by her Maa’s surgery as well, which required them to be beside him. In addition to this, I would only like to say that Dalljiet, at the moment, would not like to make any comments on anything because the kids are in the picture. Please respect her kids’ privacy and please consider this as the only statement she would like to give out,” Kaur’s team said in a statement.

Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel tied the knot on March 18, 2023, in the presence of family and close friends. She was earlier married to actor Shalin Bhanot, and Jayden is their son.
