Bigg Boss 19 day 10 highlights: Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 19 was flagged off in the last week of August. With no one getting evicted in the first week, the contestants got some more time to showcase their personalities. On Monday, serious arguments took place between Farrhana Bhat and Baseer Ali, while actor Kunickaa Sadanand was disqualified as the captain. On Tuesday, the contestants got a chance to nominate others who will be up for eviction this week. After the process, music composer Amaal Mallik, Kunickaa Sadanand, and influencers Awez Darbar, Tanya Mittal, and Mridul Tiwari were nominated.
In the latest episode, the contestants had to go through an unusual nomination process. Bigg Boss introduced a ‘room of fate’, where three contestants stood at one end of a table, while three others volunteered to stand at the other end. The ones at the red end were up for nominations, and those at the green end had the power to choose one from the red trio to nominate. After some argument, five contestants were chosen to be nominated.
On Tuesday, SCREEN reported that both Amaal and Awez are the second and third-highest paid contestants this season. While Amaal is also very actively involved in the game, Awez Darbar received a wake-up call from host Salman Khan during the last Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
While the open nominations have been lauded by fans, a few others have pointed out that the ‘room of fate’ on Bigg Boss 19 seems to be inspired by Karan Johar-hosted The Traitors’ ‘Circle of Shaq’. Earlier, many on the internet had pointed out how the Bigg Boss 19 makers had introduced the first captaincy task, which was similar to what was shown in Squid Game Season 2. In the first captaincy task, contestants were put on a carousel and once the music stopped, they had to make groups of the numbers flashed and run into the given rooms.
Bigg Boss 19 streams on JioHotstar at 9 pm and on Colors TV at 10:30 pm every Monday to Sunday.
