Actor Avika Gor has been doing wonders ever since she debuted as Anandi in Balika Vadhu. After being part of a few other TV shows, she moved to the South film industry to make her mark as a lead actor. While Avika maintained that she’s been proud of her journey, in a recent interview, she joked about her role in Sasural Simar Ka and said how the character Roli did many cringe things.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, the actor was asked about a role that makes her cringe. While apprehensive about answering it initially, Avika named Roli from Sasural Simar Ka. She then listed out the ‘weird things’ she did on the show.

“I have told a bhoot (ghost) to not take the law into its own hands. I have been stabbed by a trishul. I have gone through the impossible,” she laughed. Avika added, “I have returned from the dead thrice, and was kidnapped 50 times. I even got married six or seven times.” The actor explained how she was married to the same person thrice and the rest of the time was ‘almost’ married off to someone else.

The actor laughed about how the shoot of the show was very stressful as it would leave her feeling tense in real life. Avika, however, added the channel Colors treated her like their own. She shared that she would shoot for the show only eight days a month so that she could give time to her debut film. The actor was also emotional as she spoke about her journey and promised to be part of bigger projects in the coming days.

Earlier, speaking to indianexpress.com, Avika had opened up about being picky when it comes to TV shows.

Avika shared, “I always wanted to try doing films and so chose my projects wisely. I have always wanted to do different characters. After Balika Vadhu, I did Sasural Simar Ka and Laado 2, and I think it was because Colors really manages to convince me well. I also experimented with Khatron Ke Khiladi and Khatra Khatra on the channel. I think just like they are my favourite, I am also their favourite. We have a nice bond and I enjoy working with the team. They have been trying hard to get me on Bigg Boss but haven’t been able to convince me yet.”

Avika Gor’s debut Bollywood film 1920 Horrors of the Heart is set to release in theatres on June 23.
