Music composer Daboo Malik, who recently went to the reality show Bigg Boss 19 to support his son Amaal Malik and advised him on how to navigate the game, has now opened up about Amaal’s journey inside the house. The composer admitted that Amaal inherits his temper from him.
Speaking to News18 Shosha, Daboo reflected on Amaal’s temperament and said, “Where did you think he gets it from? If the music has come through me, there must also be some issues with me. Before I start correcting him, I should look at my journey. I should look at how I behaved in front of him when he was growing up. Was I mature enough? Was I mature enough as a father to bring up a child and give him the right guidance and right direction? No, there were a lot of faults in me too, and I was temperamental also. So he saw my worst and he grew up seeing my worst.” He further added, “If I was a character in Bigg Boss, I would have been worse than him. There is no guarantee of anything.”
Daboo also admitted that a negative campaign is being run against Amaal online. He said, “It is part of the plan. If there is a plan to seed comments, there is also a plan to seed negative comments. If there is a plan to promote reels, there is also a plan to promote negative reels. It’s a war.”
However, the composer shared that, in his opinion, the negative PR against Amaal is actually working in his favour. “The so-called negative PR is actually helping Amaal. He is the centre of attraction. How is this happening? There are so many people against him and there are so many comments against him, but he becomes the talking point after every week, whether it is the situationships or relationships, the girls are showing attraction towards him. That’s amazing, but his dignity is incredible. He is keeping his dignity very strong, even in those situations that are very fascinating for a man. People are saying he is a ‘good gunda’ and girls are saying that they will keep supporting him till the end. He is handling all of this very well and he’s not misbehaving or trying to act smart.”
Talking about the rumored romantic tension between Amaal and Tanya Mittal in the Bigg Boss house, Daboo clarified, “I don’t think he will get into any romance. I don’t get that vibe from him. I think he is amused that they are fighting over his sweater, but I don’t get that energy from him that he would be attracted completely.”
