Vijay’s Leo has received a U/A certificate from the censor board. The censor certificate of the film along with details of the changes suggested by CBFC are making the rounds on social media. According to it, about 13 minor changes have been made to the movie, which hasn’t affected its runtime of 164.27 minutes.
43 seconds of Leo has been cut due to the changes and 18 seconds of the film have been replaced based on the order of CBFC. Expletives, bloody sequences, and gore have been reduced from the Vijay-starrer, which suggests the film is a violent movie with a lot of action sequences.
“Flying teeth”, “cut ear”, “blood splash”, “injured face”, and many such scenes from the film have been either removed or replaced, according to the certificate.
Lokesh Kanagaraj, in an interview, said that the trailer of Leo is a miniature of the movie. He added that if someone liked the promo, they would like the film too. Going by the statement, Leo, like many recent Tamil movies like Jailer, will feature a lot of bloodshed and gore.
As far as the plot of the film goes, the official synopsis of the movie on the CBFC site reads, “In the world of untamed rivers that are trying to drown Parthiban, whether he remains as a divine God or a dreaded demon is the rest of the story.”
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo has Trisha, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arjun, and Sanjay Dutt in important roles. The trailer of the film suggests it is inspired by the Hollywood movie A History of Violence (2005). The film will be released in theatres on October 19.
