Sasikumar and Simran headline Tourist Family

Sasikumar and Simran's Tourist Family is helmed by Abishan Jeevinth,

In just under a couple of years, Million Dollar Studios has built quite a repertoire of interesting films. With Good Night and Lover already under their belt, the banner is currently bankrolling RJ Balaji’s Happy Ending, and Arjun Das-Aditi Shankar’s Once More. Their love affair with English titles continues with their next film, Tourist Family. Directed by debutant Abishan Jeevinth, the movie stars Sasikumar and Simran in the lead roles.

Interestingly, this project by Million Dollar Studios marks their fifth film with a debut director, and an English title. Announcing the title of Abishan’s project, the makers released a teaser that gives us a glimpse into the lives of the protagonists. Even though the teaser is filled with light-hearted moments, one can rest assured that Tourist Family will be much more than that because it is about a Sri Lankan Tamil family, who are forced to move out of their homes due to an unexplained circumstance.

The film is produced by Pasilian Nazareth, Magesh Raj Pasilian and Yuvaraj Ganesan. With music by Sean Roldan, who has composed for Good Night and Lover under the same banner, Tourist Family has cinematography by Aravind Viswanathan and editing by Barath Vikraman.

Apart from Tourist Family, Sasikumar has an interesting lineup of films, including Evidence and Freedom, which are in different stages of production. The actor-filmmaker also revealed that he would be returning to direction in 2025. On the other hand, Simran is currently awaiting the release of Arivazhagan’s much-awaited horror film, Sabdham, and her home production, The Last One.
