While Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vijay-starrer Leo continues to dominate the box office, nearing the global Rs 400 crore milestone, ‘Thalapathy’ fans have received an exciting update about the star’s upcoming movie, guaranteed to leave them in high spirits.
Helmed by Venkat Prabhu, known for super hit movies like Mankatha, Goa, Saroja, Chennai 600028 and Maanaadu, the film has been tentatively titled Thalapathy 68 and the makers unveiled its pooja video on Tuesday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Dasara.
The video also revealed the names of the film’s talented cast and crew. Alongside ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay, the film features Sneha, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Laila, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Jayaram, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan, and Ajmal Amir in pivotal roles. Additionally, Venkat Prabhu’s frequent collaborators, including Vaibhav Reddy, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj, will also play crucial roles.
The music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with Siddhartha Nuni serving as the cinematographer. Rajeevan, Venkat Raajen, and Dhilip Subbarayan will oversee production design, editing, and stunt choreography, respectively. AGS Entertainment is bankrolling the project, marking Venkat Prabhu’s 12th directorial venture.
