Suriya to produce Karthi, Arvind Swamy’s Meiyazhagan; shares first look posters

Sharing the posters, Suriya wrote, “One from our Hearts..!” In another caption, Suriya praised his brother for taking up good scripts. He wrote, “Happy bday! Always love it when you give back to make good cinema!!”

Sharing the same posters, Karthi decoded the title of his film and wrote in his X caption, “#Meiyazhagan = Meiy+Azhagan. Beauty is always what’s in our hearts.”

Meiyazhagan will be helmed by 96 fame Prem Kumar, who will be making a comeback after six years. Govind Vasantha will be composing the music for the Karthi-Arvind Swamy starrer.

Meanwhile, fans of Suriya are waiting for the release of period-drama Kanguva. In this film, Suriya is said to be playing six roles. The movie will also mark the Tamil debut of actors Disha Patani and Bobby Deol.

In an interview, the producer of the film, Dhananjayan, drew parallels between Magadheera and Kanguva and said, “Most of us would have watched Magadheera. The storyline of Kanguva is based on what if there is a connection between the past and present life. You will know what that connection is after watching the film. Magadheera had more detailing, but Kanguva will be simple.”
