Earlier, it was confirmed that actor Siddharth lent his voice to the alien character in Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film Ayalaan, which has been in the making for a long time now. The makers of the film along with Sivakarthikeyan came together for a promotional event in Chennai, and the movie’s lead actor thanked Siddharth while speaking at the event. Siva also revealed that Siddharth hasn’t charged a fee for the voice role in Ayalaan.
Speaking at the event, Sivakarthikeyan said that Siddharth has dubbed for the alien in the film, which is funny and clever. He added that the Chittha actor didn’t charge for his voice role and did it for free. Siva added that the film will be a clean entertainer and can be watched by audiences from all walks of life. “When we started the film, we didn’t know the word pan-Indian. But seeing the opportunities Tamil cinema had in recent days, we have made this movie with a lot of difficulties as we didn’t want to compromise on the quality,” Movie Crow quoted the actor as saying.
Speaking at the event, AR Rahman said that Ayalaan will be like ET of Tamil cinema, and added that he had to work a lot for the movie.
Apart from Siddharth, it is said that Sivakarthikeyan has also not charged a fee for the film as it was stuck in production difficulties. The movie, which was made on a huge budget, was stalled due to issues with the production and the actor let go of his salary for the smooth release of the film, according to Time Of India.
