Records are meant to tumble, and Leo is here for the royal rumble. Tamil star Vijay’s latest release Leo is unstoppable at the box office as it recorded a smashing collection on Sunday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial earned a massive Rs 16.50 crore on its 11th day at the box office.

With its second Sunday collections, Leo’s overall nett total in India now stands at Rs 303 crore. The numbers are impressive and the film can very well be on its way to break the record of superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer in India, which ended its run at Rs 348 crore nett.

Jailer had stronger momentum at the box office and its second Sunday in India recorded better than Leo’s at Rs 19.2 crore. On day 11, Leo had an occupancy above 40 per cent, with afternoon and evening shows recording more than 60 per cent occupancy.

While the overseas numbers for its second Sunday are yet to arrive, the film had managed to clock in Rs 508 crore by its second Saturday. Leo now will aim to chase down the worldwide target of the biggest Tamil hit of the year Jailer, which had earned Rs 604 crore globally.

The Vijay starrer has also managed to do its India business without much support from the Hindi market, where it didn’t open at national multiplex chains like PVR, Inox, Cinepolis and Miraj.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo boasts an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Sandy, and Gautham Menon. It has been released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
