KH233: Kamal Haasan confirms film with director H Vinoth

Going by the first promo, looks like Kamal Haasan and H Vinoth's project KH233 will be a political film.

As speculated, Kamal Haasan is teaming up with H Vinoth for a film after Indian 2. The actor-filmmaker took to his social media handles to confirm the news with a promo. The movie is tentatively titled KH233, marking the 233rd film in Haasan’s career. The film will be bankrolled by the actor’s production house Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media.

The promo of KH233 has the silhouette of Haasan holding a torch. It should be noted that the electric torch is the symbol of his political party, Makkal Needhi Maiam. The video hints that the film will be a political drama. The tagline of the movie reads, “Rise to rule”, also reinforces the same. However, the makers are yet to reveal other details of the film.

Earlier, it was speculated that Pa Ranjith will be teaming up with Kamal Haasan for a film. However, it looks like the movie has been put on hold. After the film with H Vinoth, Haasan will team up with Mani Ratnam for KH234, which has music by AR Rahman.

Director H Vinoth, on the other hand, has helmed back-to-back Ajith films Valimai and Thunivu. Though both the movies raked in money at the box office, they failed to appease all kinds of audiences. The touch of the director, who was known for quality films like Theeran Adhigaram Ondru and Sadhuranga Vettai, was missing in these two movies. Fans are hoping Vinoth will be back with a bang with Haasan’s film.
