Ever since Captain Miller was released, Tamil cinema fans have been demanding GV Prakash to stop acting and focus more on music, as the film’s songs and background score turned out to be impactful. Many claimed they had been missing this kind of music from GVP. However, there is no stopping the actor in the composer. GV Prakash is coming up with three back-to-back films–Rebel, Kalvan, and Kingston.

While promoting Rebel, set to be released on March 22, GV Prakash was asked about the response he received for Captain Miller. The composer said he received appreciation from several composers, but AR Rahman’s call seems to be close to his heart. GVP said, “AR Rahman sir called me and told me that he saw the film recently, and he liked my work. He asked me about a lot of things from the film and how I did all that. I have worked with him as an assistant, and so, when it comes from him, it feels good. I have composed a lot of films, but this is the first time Rahman sir called and wished me well. Several other music composers have also praised the music.”

Captain Miller, directed by Arun Matheshwaran, had Dhanush in the titular role as a dacoit in the pre-independence era. The film is one of the biggest box office hits of the year.

Meanwhile, Dhanush and GV Prakash are coming together for another film titled Nilavuku Enmel Enadi Kobam. The film is directed by Dhanush.
