Tamil director Atlee, who is known for films like Mersal, Theri, and Bigil, has made his Cannes red carpet debut this year with his wife Priya. Atlee was spotted wearing a tux, while Priya chose to keep it ethnic and wore a black saree. They looked beautiful together at the film festival, and here are pictures from the red carpet:

Besides Atlee, Aishwarya Rai, Sara Ali Khan, Sunny Leone, Urvashi Rautela, Aditi Rao Hydari, Mrunal Thakur, and Esha Gupta among others have walked the prestigious red carpet this year. Tamil filmmaker Vignesh Shivan was also spotted at the film festival.

Atlee, who hasn’t had any release since Bigil (2019), has been busy with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. There are a lot of expectations from the movie not just in the Hindi belt, but also in Tamil Nadu as fans are eager to see if Atlee can deliver a hit in Bollywood too. Notably, Atlee, who has directed four films so far, hasn’t had a flop yet.

Other than SRK, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Priyamani, and Vijay Sethupathi. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the songs for the film. It will be released on September 7.
