Director Atlee has delivered a hit for Shah Rukh Khan with Jawan, which is receiving rave reviews from the audience on the release day. While the whole of the country, especially the North is caught up in Jawan frenzy, Atlee has returned to Chennai to watch the film with his Tamil fans. He watched the film with his wife Priya, who took to Instagram to share a picture from their drive to the theatre.
Sharing the picture, Priya wrote, “On the way to the first show of Jawan.” While fans in the North and other states were able to watch the film as early as 4 a.m., the Tamil Nadu government recently passed a rule to prohibit early morning shows in the state. Hence, Atlee and Priya were able to watch the film only by 9 a.m. in Chennai.
Though Priya was not part of the film, according to Atlee, she was an immense support to the whole crew and helped them all. Lyricist Vivke also thanked Priya’s contribution to the film, which made the former actress emotional.
Meanwhile, praise from across the country is pouring in for Atlee for delivering a massy commercial entertainer. The film is expected to beat the record of Pathaan’s Day 1 collection of Rs 27 crore. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Jawan has already earned Rs 19 crores till afternoon. It is expected to earn more by tonight.
Starring SRK in a dual role, Jawan also has Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film.
