As speculated for a long time now, Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan and director AR Murugadoss are coming together for a film, which is yet to be titled.

Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Murugadoss also shared pictures from the sets of the movie.

He captioned the tweet, “Very happy to have these amazing and talented people on board. Together, something special is on your way.”

Sharing the tweet, Sivakarthikeyan confirmed that the film has gone on floors on Thursday.

Other than Sivakarthikeyan, the film also stars Rukmini, who rose to fame with the Kannada film Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, starring Rakshit Shetty.

Anirudh Ravichander, a frequent collaborator of both AR Murugadoss and Sivakarthikeyan, has been roped in for the project. Ace editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Sudeep Elamon, known for Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Jana Gana Mana, are part of the technical crew.

Other cast details of the film are yet to be revealed.

The film marks the comeback of AR Murugadoss, who last directed Rajinikanth in Darbar (2020). Earlier, in an interview, Murugadoss said that he is taking his time to come up with the right film and that’s the reason behind the delay. Looks like he has finally found his story and the hero.
