Actor Ajith Kumar’s passion for racing is a well-documented aspect of his cinema career. Right from the days of Pavithra (1994) to Mankatha (2011) and Vivegam (2017), we have seen various instances of Ajith showcasing his talent behind the wheel or on the handlebars of a superbike. He has also participated in various racing competitions, including the Formula 2 level in 2010. Now, the actor, who has actively pursued his passion for racing even when concentrating on the demanding cinema career, has decided to take part in the 2024 European GT4 championship. His manager and noted publicist Suresh Chandra revealed that the actor is set to launch the Ajith Kumar Racing team for this championship, and Belgium’s Fabian Duffieux will be its racing driver along with the actor.
In the announcement post, Chandra wrote, “We are proud to announce the beginning of a new exciting adventure: Ajith Kumar Racing. Fabian Duffieux will be the official racing driver. And the amazing news? Aside from being a team owner, Ajith Kumar is back in the racing seat!” Further, the note shared details about the various accomplishments of Ajith in the racing circuit, which includes his exploits in the Formula Asia BMW F3 Championships (2004).

Under the Ajith Kumar Racing Team, they are set to compete in various international competitions, including the upcoming 24H Series in the Porsche 992 GT3 cup category. Through this team, the actor also aims to provide a comprehensive racing program for young drivers to ply their wares on international circuits. This comes as an inspiring news for scores of Ajith’s fans, and others too who hope to balance their careers with their passion.
