Dhruv Vikram says he considers Bison his first film: ‘It’s not a problem even if you haven’t seen my earlier films’

At a recent event, Dhruv Vikram revealed he considers Bison his true debut, despite having previously starred in two significant films, Aditya Varma and Mahaan.

Dhruv Vikram is all set for a reset to his film career with Bison: Kaalamaadam, a sports drama directed by Mari Selvaraj and one of this year’s major Diwali releases. At a recent promotional event in Chennai, the actor revealed he considers Bison his true debut, despite having previously starred in two significant films, Aditya Varma, the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy, and Mahaan, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. He also spoke about his hopes and expectations for Bison.

At the pre-release event, Dhruv confessed, “Let me give you a small introduction about myself. I am Dhruv, and I have acted in two films so far. It’s not a problem even if you haven’t seen those two films. But you have to watch this film for sure, as I consider this as my first film. I hope you all see it like that as well.

The actor added, “We have worked really hard. I believe that I have given my 100 per cent to this film. When you all watch the film in the theatre, you’ll be able to decide if I have given my 100 per cent or not.”

Dhruv Vikram also had nice words to say about Bison director Mari Selvaraj, who is known for socially conscious films like Pariyezhum Perumal, Karnan, Maamanan, and Vaazhai. “My director toiled hard and has given an unforgettable film. I hope it reaches you, makes you think, and inspires you. He has struggled hard to achieve this. Bison is releasing on October 17 ahead of Diwali. You can watch it with your friends, family, girlfriend, boyfriend, and everyone. But, please go and watch it.”

Bison: Kaalamaadam, set against the backdrop of kabaddi, is jointly produced by Applause Entertainment and Pa. Ranjith’s Neelam Studios. The film features an ensemble cast including Lal, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, and Azhagam Perumal. Bison is slated for release on October 17, alongside Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude and Harish Kalyan’s Diesel.
