Following an extended period of absence, Tamil actor Abbas has made a comeback and is now in the spotlight once again, with his personal and professional journeys becoming significant topics of discussion among people.
Meanwhile, Abbas recently spoke candidly about his equation with actor Vishal, with whom he has been rumoured to have had a conflict for the past few years. He revealed that he forgave the Thupparivaalan actor a long time ago.
“He too may have faced numerous challenges in his life. In the past, I harboured anger towards him, but I have since forgiven him. If we were to cross paths today, I would certainly greet him with a ‘Hi’. Nevertheless, I would not become close to him,” Abbas said during an interview with Galatta Tamil.
Expanding on their relationship, Abbas revealed, “My constant aim has been to foster a strong bond within the film industry, which led to the inception of Celebrity Cricket League. The idea behind it was to promote a sense of brotherhood among all the actors. However, during the second season of CCL, something went awry with him. He spread lies (about me) and corrupted others. I dislike being in an environment where I am unwelcome, so I decided to step back. At that time, I was deeply hurt. Perhaps, one day, he will have a moment of realisation and understanding. Ultimately, he is still a part of the (cinema) family. Even amidst differences, a family remains a family.”
The actor also showered praise on Ajith, Vijay and Suriya. Describing Ajith as a genuine person, Abbas remarked, “He is similar to me; he won’t sugarcoat things and will respond with a straightforward yes or no. He doesn’t tolerate bullshit and is incredibly diligent. Despite undergoing numerous surgeries and receiving warnings from doctors about potential paralysis, Ajith’s unwavering dedication to cinema and his fans keeps him going.”
Describing Vijay as unaltered, Abbas remarked, “He’s still jovial and down-to-earth. He doesn’t overdo anything. Even when we’re all sitting together, cracking jokes, he quietly absorbs everything and then surprises us with a single line that’s incredibly funny. While I wasn’t a fan of Vijay’s earlier movies, I now admire the present Vijay. His films carry meaningful social messages.”
Regarding Suriya, Abbas said: “I know Suriya ever since his debut movie, Nerukku Ner. Initially, he appeared quite shy, but witnessing the astounding transformation in his life and career has been truly captivating. His film choices and unwavering dedication to his craft are commendable.”
“I believe Jyothika deserves significant credit for this transformation. While Suriya is undoubtedly a remarkable person, it’s evident that Jyothika has been the driving force behind his success. He is a benchmark for all of us actors,” he added.
