Zee Anmol, the free-to-air general entertainment channel, that completed one year in business recently, has initiated a campaign titled Dil Choo Jaaye under which it will sponsor college education for 1000 girls across India. To support the cause and create awareness among viewers, the channel has roped in Ratan Rajput of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, which is currently being aired on the channel.
Talking about the initiative, Priyanka Datta, Business Head, Zee Anmol said, “We have always tried to touch the hearts of our viewers through various initiatives. The proverb ‘Teach a woman and you teach a generation’ holds a lot of truth. In most parts of our country, education is free for girls till Class 12 and most of them dropout after it, as parents cannot afford education of their children. Zee Anmol Scholarship is a small step taken by the channel to cater to the education of girls.”
