Kriti Sanon has been signed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. for their next outing, Farzi. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sanon will be playing a Delhi girl in the crime thriller which has doses of humour and action. While Kapoor’s character has negative shades, Sanon is a new recruit in the world the film is set in. “We cast Kirti, because she is a Delhi girl and someone who would fit the role perfectly. Since she is not part of the world the film is set in, she is shocked and surprised when she enters it,” said Krishna D.K. of the director duo.
Meanwhile, an elated Sanon is looking forward to working with Kapoor as she loved his performance in Haider. She considers herself lucky as she will get to learn a lot from him while working in the film.
Farzi is presently in its pre-production stage and is likely to take off in December, either in Mumbai or Hyderabad. It is produced by the director duo and Sunil Lulla of Eros International.
