Kantara star Rishab Shetty recently melted hearts as he shared a video, capturing his daughter Radhya’s ear-piercing ceremony. The actor, along with his wife Pragathi Shetty and their family, adorned traditional attires for the function, which took place in Rishab’s childhood home.

Dressed in a white lungi paired with a green shirt, Rishab held his daughter in his arms as she cried while getting her ear-piercing done. Pragathi, who looked radiant in a traditional green saree, held Radhya’s hand and comforted her during the ceremony. In the clip, the couple and their children are seen surrounded by their friends and family members. The glimpses of Rishab’s childhood home in the clip added an extra touch of nostalgia for his fans.

Sharing the video, Rishab wrote, “The home where I grew up is filled with memories, and now Radhya’s ear-piercing ceremony added another special moment to it.”

Rishab Shetty is best known for writing and directing the 2022 blockbuster film Kantara. The film showcased how a community fights to reclaim land that was originally theirs. Currently, Rishab is busy working on the script of Kantara 2. In February, Rishab and production banner Hombale Films confirmed that Kantara 2 will be a prequel to the first installment.

He said, “We are very pleased and thankful to the audience who had shown immense love and support to Kantara. With the blessing of almighty Daiva, the film has successfully completed 100 days and I would like to take this opportunity to announce the prequel of Kantara.”

The actor added, “What you have seen is actually Part 2, Part 1 will come next year. The idea flashed into my mind while I was shooting for Kantara because the history of Kantara has more depth to it. Currently, we are in the middle of digging into more details. As the research is still underway, it would be very early to reveal details about the film.”

Kantara 2 is expected to release next year.
