Actors Rakshit Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth and Chaitra Achar’s Sapta Sagardaache Ello Side B is all set to hit theatres on November 17. Ahead of the release, Rakshit, who is also the producer of the film, has revealed that they have recovered their investment in both the movies and have made profits. The actor also stressed the importance of making such movies and said that at the end ‘cinema should win’.

On Maatu Kathe with Skandyyman, the actor-filmmker opened up about the pressures of releasing a film and said, “Whatever we have invested, both in Side A and Side B, we have already recovered it with the release of Side A and made profits.”

He continued, “I am telling you this because I want these kind of films to be made and in films like this, there is also a proper commercial aspect. To be frank, the return on investment is better in such films, when compared to mass films. Because in those (massy) type of films, one can just double the investment. But in such films, we can earn more than that and that is very important.”

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Sapta Sagardaache Ello Side A minted Rs 22.15 crore. The actor said, “These kind of films also have a good market and this has to be an example for upcoming filmmakers. The movie will definitely work if it is good. For me, it is more like, ‘Cinema should win.’ The film has to reach wider audience. That’s the reason we are spending and releasing it outside Karnataka.”

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B is helmed by Hemanth Rao and will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
