Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 3: Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. The film, which also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah in pivotal roles, has already crossed the Rs 160 crore mark in India within just three days of its release.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Kantara: Chapter 1 earned an estimated Rs 55.25 crore on Saturday, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 163.1 crore.
The film collected Rs 14.5 crore in Kannada and Rs 11.75 crore in Telugu on Saturday. In Hindi, Kantara grossed Rs 19 crore on its first Saturday, while the Tamil and Malayalam versions earned Rs 5.75 crore and Rs 4.25 crore, respectively. Overall, the film registered a 20.11% growth.
On Day 3, Kantara 2 recorded an impressive occupancy growth across all South Indian languages. In Kannada, the film maintained high momentum with occupancy peaking above 93%, while the Telugu version rose from 36.71% in the morning to 87.71% by night. The Malayalam version also showed steady gains, climbing from 34.40% to 80.50%, and the Tamil version delivered a remarkable performance, surging from 37.43% in the morning to an outstanding 92.50% during night shows.
Kantara: Chapter 1 has already emerged as the highest-grossing Kannada film of the year. Early trade estimates indicate that the film has surpassed the Rs 215 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
