Actor Prakash Raj, who recently courted controversy after sharing a cartoon about the Chandrayaan-3 mission on Twitter (now X), has congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on the successful moon mission. On Wednesday, the actor joined a chorus of film industry personalities in celebrating the achievement. India is only the fourth country to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon, and the first nation to land on the lunar south pole.
Prakash Raj wrote, “PROUD MOMENT for INDIA and to Humankind.. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿Thank you #ISRO #Chandrayaan3 #VikramLander and to everyone who contributed to make this happen .. may this guide us to Explore and Celebrate the mystery of our UNIVERSE .. #justasking.”
Previously, the actor was caught in a controversy after he shared a cartoon of a tea seller on Twitter, in the context of the moon mission. Sharing the post, he had written, “BREAKING NEWS:- First picture coming from the Moon by #VikramLander Wowww #justasking.” After getting trolled for his post, the actor clarified, “Hate sees only Hate… I was referring to a joke of #Armstrong times… celebrating our Kerala Chaiwala… which Chaiwala did the trolls see? If you don’t get a joke then the joke is on you .. GROW UP #justasking.”
In a follow-up tweet, he further added, “ATTENTION:-dear #Unacedemy trolls and #godimedia who know only one #Chaiwala .. proudly presenting .. the ever inspiring our own malayali chaiwala since 1960 s ..if you want to be educated please read #justasking.”
Several film industry personalities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, SS Rajamouli, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Hrithik Roshan and others celebrated the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s success on Wednesday. Announcing the mission’s success, ISRO tweeted, “Chandrayaan-3 Mission: ‘India, I reached my destination and you too!’”
