Singer Pharrell Williams will be honoured at the CFDA Fashion Awards, which will be held on June 1.
He will receive the CFDA Fashion Icon Award, which was presented to R&B star Rihanna, last year.
“If cool was a person, it would be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style, but for his kindness and openness. I cannot imagine anyone not seduced by him,” CFDA President Diane von Furstenburg said of Williams in a statement.
The ceremony will be held at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The 41-year-old musician has dabbled in fashion collaborations with Adidas, Moncler and Uniqlo, to name a few, and starred alongside Cara Delevingne in Chanel’s short fashion film shot by Karl Lagerfeld.
