BTS’ Jungkook is currently in the US, engrossed in the promotions of his latest solo album, Golden. The singer recently graced the stage of the Today Show in New York City, captivating the audience with performances of his new hits, “Standing Next To You”, “3D”, and “Seven”. A massive crowd of fans gathered to witness his live show.
However, after the performance, Jungkook took to Weverse to critique his live singing and extend apologies to his fans for any shortcomings. His message in Korean translates to, “ARMY… I’m sorry… I messed up the live (singing); ya, I don’t have any excuse; I’ll do better for the next live broadcast.”
Though Jungkook found faults in his performance, his fans really enjoyed his show. A heartwarming video from Jungkook’s live performance is circulating, showing him interacting with an emotional 10-year-old girl celebrating her birthday at the concert. Holding a poster, the young fan professed her love for Jungkook, to which he responded with a heartfelt “I love you too” and wished her a ‘happy birthday’. The young fan couldn’t stop her tears as she interacted with Jungkook.
The singer’s latest album Golden boasts 11 tracks, and he earlier introduced the album to his fans and said, “I use the word golden moment. I think it’s a combination of things like that moment, the nickname Namjoon gave me, and the talent I was born with. This feeling of reflection and proof is present in the album, as well as the ambition to prove it. I’m very excited and nervous.”
For this album, Jungkook collaborated with renowned artists like Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran, DJ Snake, and Major Lazer. Reflecting on the collaborations, Jungkook expressed, “So many people participated, and I actually received the song, but it’s a disappointment I didn’t get to meet Ed Sheeran or Shawn Mendes in person. I still communicated with other producers and made video calls during the recording process. I would like to meet you if I have the chance.”
