Popular singer Halsey has released the revamped version of “Lilith”, which also features BTS singer Suga. This marks Suga and Halsey’s third collaboration, after “Boy With Luv” and “Interlude”. The new version of Lilith is for the video game Diablo IV and the singers revisit the ‘chaos and corruption’ and channel their dark energies.
“We both grew up playing the games & I’ve always wanted to do a concept with SUGA with this type of dark mythology,” Halsey wrote on Twitter. On Instagram, the singer penned a more detailed note as she wrote, “Collabed with @agustd of @bts.bighitofficial on a reimagined version of Lilith for the #DiabloIV anthem and it goes incredibly hard… @PlayDiablo. we both grew up playing the games and I’ve always wanted to do a concept with SUGA with this type of dark mythology, so it was a no brainer tbh. VERY SICK AND OUT NOW, CHECK IT OUT!!!!”
The music video shared by the singers looks straight out of a mysterious dark drama. Halsey first appears as Blessed Mother Lilith from the Diablo IV video game. She is seen sporting a gothic look, dressed in a black robe. Suga joins her midway, and continues the song.
Rod Fergusson, General Manager of Diablo at Blizzard Entertainment, shared in a statement, “This anthem for Diablo IV is a beautiful culmination of Halsey and Suga’s passion for the world of Diablo and what it represents. Their re-interpretation of Halsey’s ‘Lilith’ from all angles — as a sound, as a piece of art, as a narrative — takes you right into the desperate world of Sanctuary and the resolute spirit it takes to fight your demons, whatever form they may take.”
