Hailey Bieber is shutting down claims that she liked a viral TikTok allegedly shading pop star Selena Gomez and her fiancé, Benny Blanco. A rep for the Rhode founder told Page Six the accusation is “completely false.”
Hailey and Selena have long been pitted against each other by fans, largely because of their history with Justin Bieber. But Hailey’s making it clear there’s no bad blood on her end toward the Emilia Pérez star.
“This never happened,” Hailey’s rep told the outlet in a statement Sunday. They also criticised the TikTok creator’s claims, calling them “fabricated by a content creator looking to capitalise off of an old, tired narrative.”
Justin and Selena had an on-again, off-again relationship for nearly eight years before splitting in 2018. Shortly afterward, the Baby crooner proposed to Hailey, and they got married in September of that year. The couple also welcomed their first child, Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024.
Over the years, both women have tried to shut down the ongoing feud rumours. Back in March 2023, Selena publicly defended Hailey on social media after she received “death threats and such hateful negativity” online. In return, Hailey has also shown support for Selena through her online actions, whether it was liking her post with Benny Blanco or thanking the Love On singer for having her back.

A TikTok creator named @courtneypresto recently posted a video on February 14, criticizing Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s cover shoot for Interview Magazine. This person described their shoot as “the WORST” and admitted the video was “a little shady” towards Selena. “I genuinely can’t decide which is the worst” and “I had to look at these photos so you do too,” the netizen remarked.
Shortly after, @courtneypresto claimed that Hailey Bieber had “liked” this video, suggesting that Hailey was secretly continuing a feud with Gomez. “Hailey Bieber herself liked my TikTok. Don’t necessarily come for me in the comments, but I was being a little shady to Selena Gomez. It was about these pictures, which they knew everyone was gonna have some type of reaction to,” Courtney said in a follow-up post.
In December 2024, Selena got engaged to music producer Benny Blanco. Hailey appeared to show support by “liking” Selena’s engagement announcement on Instagram. However, according to the TikToker, Hailey’s alleged action was “definitive proof” that things weren’t as friendly between them as Hailey had previously claimed. This claim was blatantly refuted by Hailey’s rep.
