A Justin Bieber impersonator was thrown out of a nightclub in a bizarre weekend incident. The lookalike slipped onto the stage at XS Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas, fooling the crowd and even DJ Gryffin into believing he was the real Bieber, TMZ reported. Once exposed, he was slapped with a lifetime ban. It later came out that he’s been working as Bieber’s double for years, regularly tricking people into thinking he’s the pop star.
“After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognised, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry,” a rep of the nightclub shared the statement with TMZ. The man has been identified as Dylan Desclos. The 29-year-old from Normandy, France, has an uncanny similarity to the Baby crooner and even has the same tattoos, haircut, and clothing style, making it easy to trick people in dark, loud venues like XS.
According to reports, Desclos and his crew spent the entire day plotting the scam. They told Wynn staff they were Bieber’s “new management team,” benefitting from Bieber’s recent split with his old team and search for a new one. That got them inside and eventually onto the XS stage. DJ Gryffin, the night’s headliner, was convinced enough to hype the crowd, shouting, “We’ve got Justin Bieber in the house!” before letting the fake Bieber on stage. Desclos then performed songs like Sorry while the nightclub went all out with confetti and cash showers as the packed crowd went wild. For nearly five minutes, everyone thought Justin himself had shown up.
But the performance didn’t last long. Wynn staff finally realised what was wrong and removed Desclos from the property. A staff member confirmed that Desclos has been permanently banned from the resort and will never be allowed back. Gryffin posted a video online admitting he got scammed, joking about how “Bustin Jieber” fooled him during his own set. The popular electronic music DJ admitted he thought Bieber had just “gained some weight” since his last album drop.
Several clips from the night have surfaced. One of them shows the Fake Bieber leaving the Wynn, escorted by security. Even while exiting, he kept posing for cameras and taking selfies with fans. He was also spotted earlier in the day shopping at Sunglass Hut and Balenciaga inside the property. He has been spotted multiple times in the city moving with his “entourage” like a real pop star.
Online, many blasted him for copying Bieber’s tattoos and trying to run up a massive club bill, close to $10,000, during the night. Desclos later claimed it was his team that planned the whole performance night, saying he only presented himself as a lookalike. Meanwhile, Justin himself was nowhere near Vegas that night. He was in California. The singer, who recently made his comeback with the new album Swag, hosted a listening party in Los Angeles with Hailey Bieber just last month and a star-packed guest list, including John Mayer, The Kid Laroi, and Madison Beer.
