BTS’ Jung Kook, Jimin to enlist together in military this month; RM and V to undergo procedure separately

Following the enlistment of BTS members Jin, J-Hope and Suga in the military in 2022, four more members of the South Korean boy band are preparing to follow in their footsteps. Offering more details on the band members’ decision, record company Big Hit Music released a statement recently. In it, the firm announced that BTS’ Jimin, V, Jung Kook and RM will enlist in the military this month.

According to the statement, Jung Kook and Jimin will enlist simultaneously, going through the process together in the same camp. On the other hand, RM and V, initially expected to enlist together, will undergo the procedure separately. There will not be an official ceremony for this.

In the statement shared via its official Weverse account on Tuesday, Big Hit Music expressed gratitude to all fans for their continuous love and support for BTS. The statement specified, “RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook will fulfil their required time with the military by enlisting in the army. RM and V will be enlisting according to their respective procedures, while Jimin and Jung Kook are scheduled to enlist together. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of their entry.”

“The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only,” the firm requested.

“We also advise you not to get adversely affected by purchasing unauthorised tours or product packages that illegally use the artist’s IP. Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorised use of such IP,” Big Hit Music urged the fans.

“We ask for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook until they complete their military service and return. Our company will also strive to provide all the support they need during this time,” it added.

In 2022, BTS members announced that they were taking a break to pursue solo projects and also to serve their mandatory military service in the country.
