Pakistani singer Atif Aslam recently performed on stage in the US, and was left upset by a fan’s behaviour. An enthusiastic fan was showered money on Atif as he performed on stage, and this made the singer pause his concert mid-way to teach him a lesson. The singer’s fitting response is getting a lot of attention on social media.

A video of the exchange was shared on X (formerly Twitter), and shows Atif saying, “My friend, donate this money, don’t throw it at me, this is just disrespect to the money.” A fan shared the video, and wrote, “I love how he refuses to even touch the money.” Fellow singer Aagha Ali also lauded Atif Aslam, and wrote, “My heart screams ‘Legend Legend Legend’. And he is so evidently a legend for many reasons. May Allah SWT bless you even more man. Loads of love.”

This is not the first time that fans have thrown objects at artists. Drinks, ashes, roses, and even cellphones have been thrown at concerts and artists like Arijit Singh, Canadian rapper Drake, Bebe Rexha, Cardi B, and more in the recent past.

Kalyug, Race, Bas Ek Pal, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Baaghi 2 are a few Bollywood films that featured songs sung by Atif before Pakistani artists were banned from performing in India. But the Bombay High Court recently rejected a petition seeking the ban, effectively allowing Pakistani performers to ply their trade in India once again.
