Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is currently seen in Aadujeevitham and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, took a trip down memory lane and recalled an awkward incident. Prithviraj, who is a car fanatic, once rented a Ferrari in Scotland. But when his wife Supriya Menon got a bout of motion sickness, they switched to a Hyundai, leaving the Ferrari to their assistants.

In an interview with Mashable, Prithviraj said, “My wife hates being in cars. She’s not a car person at all. So, I was in Scotland once and I managed to get a Ferrari, a California MH. There’s this really beautiful road going to the Isle of Skye, nice twists and all that. So, I have my traction control off and I’m having fun, and she starts throwing up. And no, the climax is not that. She said, ‘No, I’m not coming in this car.’ So then what happened is, my assistants were behind me in a Hyundai, so we switched to the Hyundai, and I’m driving the Hyundai and my assistants follow me all the way to Isle of Skye in a Ferrari.”

The actor also revealed why he developed a liking for cars. Prithviraj remembered going on drives with his dad, sitting on his lap. He’d hold onto the steering wheel, and pretend to be in control, even though his dad was doing all the driving. They’d zip along the road, and Prithviraj loved watching the steering wheel guide them forward.

He added, “I think that sort of ignited the love of driving. And then, it’s been a series of events where, like every schoolboy, I used to have a poster of a Countach on my wall, and that sort of culminated in me buying my first Lamborghini.”

Aadujeevitham is helmed by Blessy and is based on a novel by Benyamin of the same name. The film has collected more than Rs 60 crore in India. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles.
