Nivin Pauly gives warm welcome to ‘incredible, ever-radiant’ Nayanthara as she joins the cast of Dear Students

Nayanthara has joined the cast of Nivin Pauly-starrer Dear Students. The film is penned and directed by Sandeep Kumar and George Philip Roy.

Nayanthara and Nivin Pauly are set to reunite on screen for the second time in Dear Students. The film’s creators unveiled a video on Sunday to announce Nayanthara’s inclusion in the lead cast. The film is penned and directed by Sandeep Kumar and George Philip Roy.

Nivin, who is also the producer of the film, welcomed Nayanthara and wrote, “Into the fun and gripping world of “Dear Students” joins, the incredible, ever-radiant Nayanthara 💖💖.”

Accompanying the announcement was a video teaser, which commences with a classroom scene. As the camera sweeps through the classroom, the students’ test papers flutter in the air. A woman’s hand deftly manipulates a pen, swiftly pinning the papers to a board. On the fluttering sheets, Nayanthara’s face emerges, signalling her involvement in the project.

Nivin and Nayanthara previously collaborated in the 2019 romantic comedy Love Action Drama, helmed by Dhyan Sreenivasan. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, it enjoyed commercial success at the box office, captivating audiences with its charming storyline.

Nayanthara’s last Malayalam outing was in the 2022 film Gold, co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. She made her Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan in 2023. She also starred in Tamil films such as Iraivan and Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food. Meanwhile, Nivin was most recently seen in Varshangalkku Shesham, which premiered in theatres last Friday.
