In the video, Prithviraj can be seen standing inside a building near a runway while explaining to those accompanying him how he is planning the shoot there. In another instance in the video, the actor-director, along with Antony Perumbavoor, is seen holding talks with a group of people. According to reports, the shooting for the film is likely to begin in August this year.
Sharing the video on Twitter, producer Antony Perumbavoor said: “#L2E EMPURAAN gaining momentum.”
Ever since the core team of the film, comprising actor Mohanlal and screenwriter Murali Gopy apart from Prithviraj and Antony, announced L2: Empuraan, a sequel to the 2019 political action thriller film Lucifer, there has been much hype around it. Lucifer, which grossed around Rs 200 crore at the box office, is one of the greatest successes in Malayalam film history. Furthermore, the movie was remade in Telugu with Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, and Salman Khan portraying the same characters that were played by Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, and Prithviraj, respectively, in the original Malayalam version.
Just like Lucifer, L2: Empuraan will also feature an ensemble cast comprising Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas and Indrajith Sukumaran among others.
