Govind Padmasoorya gets engaged to Gopika Anil, see photos

Actor-host Govind Padmasoorya, popularly known by his initials GP, took to social media on Sunday to announce that he is engaged to actor Gopika Anil.

In the social media post, Govind shared that he is in a ‘family initiated relationship’ with Gopika, who is best known for her performance in the popular Malayalam serial Santhwanam. Govind also shared pictures of the engagement ceremony. It was a private affair with the couple’s family members and close friends in attendance.

In the engagement ceremony photos, Govind Padmasoorya can be seen dressed in a sherwani and turban, while Gopika Anil looked beautiful in a lehenga.

Govinda wrote with the photos, “Happy to share that we are getting engaged today on this auspicious day of ASHTAMI. This is a family initiated relationship that slowly blossomed as we interacted with each other. You all have always owned and supported us like your own family. Your love is our strength. Seeking your prayers and blessings as we move on to an important milestone in our lives. Lots of love, Govind Padmasoorya and Gopika Anil.”

Govind Padmasoorya made his silver screen debut with Atayalangal. He went on to star in films like Daddy Cool, Pretham, Shefeekinte Santhoshangal and Kee, among others. The actor is best known for hosting the reality show D 4 Dance.

Gopika Anil, meanwhile, is known for shows like Santhwanam and Kabani.
