Reportedly, Dominic and The Ladies' Purse is said to be an investigative thriller, with Mammootty playing the role of a detective.

The acting icon Mammootty can drop the first look of his movie even in a bathrobe. After much speculation, the actor on Sunday revealed the title of his first collaboration with filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, a film titled Dominic and The Ladies’ Purse. The poster was unveiled on by Mammootty on his birthday.

The film, which went on floors earlier this year, marks the Malayalam debut of Gautham Menon, known for movies like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Ye Maaya Chesave, Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram.

The first look poster of the film features Mammootty in a bathrobe, in a room which is scattered with notes. There is a cat in the frame, and also, a ladies’ purse. In the background are movie posters as well as a cork board. “Presenting the First Look Poster of Dominic and The Ladies’ purse , Directed by @menongautham & Produced by @MKampanyOffl,” the actor wrote. The film is produced by Mammootty Kampany.

Reportedly, Dominic and The Ladies’ Purse is said to be an investigative thriller with Mammootty playing the role of a detective. The film is written by Dr Neeraj Rajan and Sooraj Rajan. Further details about the film, including the release date, are awaited.

Mammootty is having another sensational year, having featured in movies like the acclaimed folk horror Bramayugam as well as the action comedy Turbo, which opened in cinemas in May.
