Three names that give Malayali film spectators the chills are Baburaj Jacob, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Jinu Joseph, since we know what they are capable of if they are on the antagonist’s side in a film. We are saved if they are on the protagonist’s side. But what if all we have left is them, and the characters they all portray have significant grey shades?
The recently released trailer for the Malayalam movie Nalla Nilavulla Raathri suggests an intense and thrilling situation like this. Directed by debutant Murphy Devasy, the film is produced by Sandra Thomas and Wilson Thomas under the banner of Sandra Thomas Productions.
At the beginning of the trailer, we are introduced to a group of former college friends who were known for their mischief and have now reunited to discuss starting an organic food venture in Shivamogga, Karnataka. However, it becomes apparent that some members of the group had ulterior motives for the meeting. As the trailer unfolds, tensions rise and conflicts emerge, leading to a tumultuous turn of events. The latter half of the promo is packed with violent scenes and action, indicating that the film will be a gripping and action-packed thriller.
The trailer concludes with the statement “Sandra Thomas invites you to the cinematic universe of envy, betrayal, wrath, greed, and sloth,” featuring four of the seven deadly sins, specifically omitting pride, lust, and gluttony.
Besides Baburaj, Chemban Vinod Jose and Jinu Joseph, Nalla Nilavulla Raathri stars Binu Pappu, Ganapathi, and Rony David. Kailas has composed the songs in the film.
The movie’s song “Thaanaro Thannaro”, which was released last month, received a good response. The video of the track has already garnered over 2 million views on YouTube.
